“Goodness” victim of malaria at 16 months”

Olugu was orphaned as a small child. He lost his father to cholera, his only sister to malnutrition and his 16 month old daughter “Goodness” to malaria.
Olugu had contracted Malaria himself and if it was not for a kind-hearted doctor who treated him free of charge, he probably would not be here
today. In 2006 & 2007, motivated by his own tragedy, Olugu decided to take action against malaria! While in Canada, he used his personal savings and
credit cards, and was able to procure malaria medications. He took a missions trip back to his community in Nigeria with fifteen doctors and nurses
who volunteered to administer the free medications. This led to the formation of a charity, Challenge Aids and Malaria in Africa (CHAMA).
